Male Chest Gynecomastia Breast Enlargement Reduction By Liposuction and Surgical Procedures

This 38 year old man developed enlarged male breasts (gynecomastia) with both excess fat and breast glandular tissue. Dr. Gallico excised some of the true breast glandular tissue through an incision under the nipple and removed the excess fat by tumescent liposuction, suction lipectomy, and liposculpture to remove excess breast fat.. He is shown in before and after pictures of the improvement in his male breast enlargement or gynecomastia.

Gynecomastia or Male Breast Enlargement

The male breast grows a small amount during puberty, but under normal hormonal changes remains as a small, flat breast dominated by the pectoral muscle. Most men have small, barely noticeable breasts. Some men develop large breasts with more of a woman's breast contour.

In some men during and after puberty the breast gland continues to grow and form a conical breast which does not disappear.

Weight gain at any time during the life cycle will add fat to the male breast and result in a large or feminine contour to the male breast (gynecomastia).

All of these enlargements of the breast can be improved by male breast reduction gynecomastia surgery for men. Excess or large male brest glandular tissue can be removed by direct excision (cutting out) of the excess gland. This surgery can be performed through a small incision in the nipple.

Excess fat which has been deposited in the male breast is a form of gynecomastia which can be improved by tumescent liposuction, suction lipectomy, liposculpture, and fat suction. Again through small incisions (cuts in the nipple and skin) the excess fat can be suctioned out from the enlarged male breast to effect a breast reduction of the enlarged sagging male breast.
